Came across this 166.0141 with the blue dial and what looks like the white hands combo on eBay. Listing photos below:

Do you ever have the feeling that lurking behind the slightly poor, just out of focus photos that there might be a gem of of a watch hidden in them? Well this one kept giving me those thoughts and since I've been curious about these for some time....I figured why not give the auction a chance. Got lucky on the auction, for a final bid at what I consider a pretty great price for this reference, so here's to hoping I also get lucky with the watch when it arrives in a few days and I'm able see it in person.

It definitely needs some love and a clean up but here's what I can see from the somewhat poor photos:
- the case appears to be in decent unpolished condition but with some visible hairline scratches and could definitely use a thorough cleaning (see movement image and what appears to be dirt/gunk around edge of crystal)
- dial appears to be in good/great shape(crystal scratches are making it hard to be sure)
- crystal is definitely going to need to be either replaced or polished (can't tell from the quality photos if its the original signed crystal or not)
- crown is signed and looks to be original. or I'm mistaken, and OF member or 166.0141 member know more?
- strap is also signed omega but I'm not sure if that is correct style to the watch. Anyone know?

If you've made it this far, first thanks 馃榾, and second here are a few questions: 馃榿
- Is that corrosion or just a bunch of gunk on the back of the case between the lug openings and the case back opening? The greenish residue.
- Does anyone know what the design of this dial style is actually called? As in, is there a specific name for it? I've seen sector and static but no definitive answer
- What is this style of hour/minute hands are called? Would they be a style of Baton hands? I've seen cigarette and square end but nothing definitive. I also have similar style black ones on my 166.028 so I'd love to know. I could have sworn there was a thread on Omega hand styles but I can't seem to find it. And yes I tried the google "site: omegaforums.net" search 馃槈
- If I do end up needing a crystal, can anyone provide the part number for the crystal? I've looked at the crown / glass / gasket list that @michael e put together but no ref 166.0141 noted in the list.
EDIT: FOR ANYONE ELSE WHO IS LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENT ACRYLIC, THE PART # IS PZ5200 / PX5200 (SILVER / YELLOW RING)
- Would also appreciate to hear from any current or past owners of the 166.0141 references.

And lastly, I ask the OF community, any advice or observations that you all would like to share?

Thanks!

It鈥檚 not my cup of tea, but if you like this style I can see what attracted you to this lot. The nicely coloured lume and original strap would reinforce the view that this is a lightly worn piece that鈥檚 aged well.

Id also say that gunk and not corrosion you refer to.

Re parts, check out Cousins UK and search by watch brand. Even if they don鈥檛 have parts in stock they鈥檒l display the part no

Thanks @Davidt for the Cousins UK referral. Found the part no. for the acrylic. I'll edit the original post so that anyone who may also be looking can find it. Much appreciated!

And I get this is not the most popular dial / case style but I'm still trying to figure out the name for this style of dial, anyone know?

That's the gasket and beautiful watch, this case screams "Tissot Movement!" to me, nice to see a rare 750 in there instead!

Honestly I can't see anything wrong with it, no need to look either, beautiful watch

Well It arrived yesterday evening and for what I paid, I've gotta say, I'm pretty happy with what I received. Here a few photos of the watch when I first opened the package.

With the white hour/minute/second hands and how surface scratched the crystal is it's difficult to see but the crystal is signed. I'll try and get a good angle of it and post a photo. The crown is also signed and from the other examples of this reference that I've been able to find it appears to be original. The strap and buckle clasp are also signed but I'm not sure if the strap / buckle clasp is correct to the watch. Buckle clasp looks to be from an earlier reference. See advert from 1974 UK catalog for comparison. Shows what looks like applied logo buckle clasp:

I was able to wipe off the case last night and clean off all the gunk/residue left over from what looks like years of neglect and it's starting to look pretty nice IMO. PolyWatch is arriving tomorrow so I'm keen to seen how the signed crystal will look after a good polish.

Case back:

Movement and inside of case back for those who are curious

And here is a better angle of the signed crystal where the Omega logo can be seen:

Looking forward to seeing how this crystal cleans up with a nice polish.

The way the dial changes colors in the sunlight depending on the angle of the dial to the sun is also pretty wild! Goes from almost a deep midnight blue to almost a cerulean blue with just the roll of a wrist. (The first photo doesn't fully show how dark it can appear)

Put it on a dark brown leather strap so that I could wear it today and see if I like how it wears. So far I'm diggin' it!

Thanks @kaplan ! I'm pretty happy with it so far. Really just want the PolyWatch to get here so I can see if the crystal can remain or if I need to find a new one.

PolyWatch cametoday and I was able to polish up the crystal. It's far from perfect but it's much better than when I received it. I was also able to get better photos that show the difference in the color of the dial depending on the angle from which its viewed.
Dark Midnight Blue (Almost Black)

Light Cerulean Blue:

Also I can now see that the crystal is signed and the omega logo is underlined:

I only found one other post on OF that mentions (and has a photo of it) a signed crystal with the omega logo underlined. Coincidentally it was a similar case shape, reference 1360049.

Anyone have any info on the underlined omega signed crystals?
