I was fortunate enough to have this girl come in our facility and give a talk on overcoming obstacles and never giving up. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. She especially moved and bonded with the female residents. We still have her signed picture hanging on the wall.
Gotta admit I was enthralled myself talking to her I like to hike/climb but I don’t think Everest is on my list. A twenty to thirty foot rock wall is a big accomplishment for me and I can’t even do that right now. Anyway some people you never forget, the mountain queen is one of mine.

Watched the first installment of "The Rise and Fall of Boris Johnson" last night, thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.

Such a compelling figure in British politics, conflicted and charismatic.
I couldn't help but be amazed by one of his speeches and the comparison (by me) to a certain Nuremberg speech was scary but however you regard him Devil, Diva or Saint he is truly one of the most erudite and intelligent men in politics in recent history.

Interesting you mention Nuremberg because he's always reminded me of Goring.

I make it a point not to watch series unless it’s historical/documentary type thing. Every once in a while Netflix trips me up and I’ll watch one. I hate that feeling when you “binge” so I avoid that but I just recently got stuck on “Lost” which I remember a lot of people at work talking about years back when it was on.

Well now I’m kinda hooked. Watching a couple episodes a week when I can. I figured it wasn’t good for some reason it’s not too bad.

And that’s all I have to say about that

seasons 1 and 2 were great. We were not as impressed with season 3. I will be interested in your thoughts.

It was still good, but different from the first 2 seasons certainly.

Orphan Black Echoes. The original Orphan Black was a truly amazing series, so this had a lot to live up to, and it falls short. Hard to be invested in the characters, and the complete lack of humour doesn't help.

Very short .. I was hoping it would be much better than it turned out

My wife and I are on pins and needles watching Blown Away:

I can't believe how hard it is to make stuff out of glass - it's like molten hot, forbidden taffy oozing around while the contestants try to make art on a competitive TV show deadline.

Just finished the series "Dopesick"...

Mixed feelings to be honest. I fully understand the issues with oxycontin and the damage it's caused, and the lies told by the drug companies.

On the other hand, I took it for years and never had issues with it, but I was very cautious in how I used it. I never used it on a regular basis, and quite honestly I hated taking it, so only used it when the pain I was in was unbearable. Kept my dosage as small as possible. Thankfully I don't take anything like this now and haven't for many years.

I do recall being somewhat concerned that when the problems with abuse became so rampant, that they were going to ban it here, and that would have made things much worse for me.
