I have always been curious about the holdout Japanese WWII Japanese soldiers. This film was reasonably accurate, but a few liberties were taken to make a more appealing story. It is still worth a watch none-the-less.

The last season of Picard was good.

I just finished the last season of Discovery - the story made little sense. I said from the start if all they wanted was to keep the technology out of the hands of everyone, just destroy the first clue and it's over. The end result simply proved that would have been the right move in the first place.

If Discovery had been cut off after Season 3 it would rank as one of my favourite Star Trek editions, but Seasons 4 and 5 turned out to be pretty lame. I thought Picard was a disappointment from beginning to end, and it was the edition I was most excited about before its premiere. What's not to like about Strange New Worlds...it partially redeems the disappointments of Discovery and Picard.

Watching and I say watching as I am only halfway thru it I.S.S. (2023).

I started watching it late at night when I really should have been going to bed so I only watched half of it.
I found it a very well made, directed and acted (so far) film but truly disturbing! this sends you a gut punch reaction to the content and visual scenes, once again truly disturbing.
Haven't resumed watching it again yet due entirely to that.
Very much a film I can recommend but beware this can take you on a roller coaster ride of emotion.

It’s a pretty good movie overall, but the ending is a bit meh...

Federer - The last 12 days

If you are even a casual Fed fan, you will probably enjoy this. Even if you aren't but still love tennis, you realize watching this that it was the start of a massive upheaval in men's tennis, that continues today...

Watched the first installment of "The Rise and Fall of Boris Johnson" last night, thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.

Such a compelling figure in British politics, conflicted and charismatic.
I couldn't help but be amazed by one of his speeches and the comparison (by me) to a certain Nuremberg speech was scary but however you regard him Devil, Diva or Saint he is truly one of the most erudite and intelligent men in politics in recent history.

Yellowstone series.
I'm generally not much into cowboy stories, but here the plot is very well balanced: it's got it all. Episodes are around 1h long.

Just watched Civil War (2024).
Very graphic and not at all designed to glorify so not your typical Hollywood flick.
Very well acted and is great at pointing out the flaws in human nature.

seasons 1 and 2 were great. We were not as impressed with season 3. I will be interested in your thoughts.
