I just finished Squid Game. It was strange and remarkable at the same time. At first no characters worthy of empathy other than maybe the main character's mother and family. Reading the creators ambitions behind the series it was a sharp societal criticism, and the ending scenes were on point.

This one will stay with me for a while...

Bit of nostalgia last night...the original...

Special effects look dated, but still a great movie.

The making of that movie was bananas. The DP was like "Hey Clive, what lens do you want for this shot?" And Barker was like, 'wait there are different lenses?"

Looking forward to following up with Better Call Saul.
Okay just finished BCS today. I might be crazy, but I think overall I enjoyed it more than Breaking Bad. My wife said the same.

My wife likesWill Trent, so we are watching some of that tonight. It’s pretty tame compared to a lot of what we are watching lately.

Same with High Potential, which my wife also likes. Seeing Kevin from US Shameless playing a serious character is odd though. Both these cop shows are very unrealistic but fun to watch.

I sometimes throw on an episode of The Lincoln Lawyer as well. Her character is annoying in this, but Neve Campbell still looks great…

My wife and I are about half way through the first season of Starfleet Academy. I would say it is one of the better recent Star Trek offerings. Certainly better than Discovery in my opinion.

Just started watching the first season of From. Not sure if it's worth it yet just partway thru the first episode.
Really looking forward to the 2nd season of 3 Body Problem and next season of Silo, hopefully not to far on in the year.

Deadloch season 2!

Also this...

"Don't touch that dial! Don't touch that one either! And stop touching yourself! SCTV is on the air!"

This and Monty Python are largely responsible for my sense of humour (honourable mention to The Kids in the Hall as well, but they came later). They have all seasons of SCTV on Prime right now, so working my way through them all in order. Still on the early stuff and it is great.
