Search & Rescue efforts by US & Canadian coast guards to pinpoint the position of the Titan submersible vehicle near the wreck of Titanic.
As I type this the crew have 40 hours of breathable air left in the 7m long submersible.
Both surface and underwater searches are underway, for the latter the crew would be knocking on the hull "on the hour" to be heard!
Let's hope they were able to use one-of-seven ways (drop weights, compressed air tanks, air bags,...) to get the vehicle back to the surface. Even then the floating submersible would be difficult to spot in misty weather and it still needs outside assistance to open the hatch...
Fingers crossed they'll be found !

US Coast guard rescue teams heard "underwater noises" every 30 minutes...
Fingers crossed they'll be found in time!

I am presuming giving the date of upload and the black and white nature of the low res video that these young maidens are likely crotchety old ladies or dead by now.

Oh Wait.... here is a fuller version in equally low res ( but better ) and colour!

And yes potentially a historic day, hopefully it will all play out in Colour at high res

Three episodes into Netflix’s ‘Drive to Survive’ style take on the Tour de France. I thought it would just trundle along but it has some really interesting insights into the sport and riders that you just don’t see or read about anywhere else. Of course it employs the same style of confrontation = riveting drama that the F1 series does (Wout van Aert described it as ‘commotion’), but I guess for anyone who knows nothing about the sport it provides a hook. Worth a view IMHO.

Been watching the Kid animated series Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia by Guillermo del Toro.

Started watching it as my then 5 year old seemed interested in it and whilst its an animation it has a real contiguous story line and character development and no episodic cameo stories unlike most lets spin it out ratings driven drivel that you see, so what better way to coerce her out of this one line You Tube zero span of attention crap that has pervaded kids entertainment these last few years and start her on a path to real stories and themes with life meaning.

Any way long story short I ended up watching all 3 seasons of it then moved on to its successor series of 3Below: Tales of Arcadia ( 2 seasons) which I finished last night.

Next up tonight will probably be the latest and concluding series Wizards: Tales of Arcadia.

After that series will be a full feature film Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans.

Guillermo del Toro is a true talent with a range of different film genres from this science fantasy to the Shape of Water and a host of other gems inbetween.

One particular favourite of mine was the made for TV series The Strain

Just downloaded The Dial of Destiny, the latest but hopefully not the last in the Indiana Jones franchise.
So will be watching that tonight on my newly installed 11.2 Dolby Atmos setup though it will only be in 5.1 as I haven't installed all the other speakers yet 🙄

I missed the series Justified when it first ran on TV, but we recently went through all 6 original seasons, and it was great! Without commercials the episodes were only about 40 minutes long, so one we could sneak one in almost any time.

We just finished it and now the main character has been brought back in a new series, Justified: City Primeval, so we have started watching that now.
