Just rewatched Hangover

Today will be Germany vs Poland. Ok I am bored to watch a friendly. But the way Germany is playing it is like watching the titanic. 🙁

A bit like the last world cup then?

Just watched Finland v Slovenia. I only know a few phrases in Finnish so it was difficult to follow, but Finland won. Happy for my wife. Might watch Wales v Armenia later

Interstellar.

Probably the best sci fi movie of all time! I seem to watch it 2 or 3 times a year and every time I see it I am more impressed by it than the previous time I watched, it never gets old, only better with time.

I always get 1/2 way through Interstellar and then quit. I have yet to see a Nolan film I didn’t absolutely love so I’ll keep at it.

Can’t wait for Oppenheimer (Nolan) this July.

Henry Kissinger is doing a talk on his 100th birthday and events of his life on Bloomberg. I always found Kissinger an interesting character as I read a few of his books and went to a book signing he did years back. It’s not so much what side he was on it’s all the events he took part in. I wore my skx today as I was doing community stuff and it rained on and off.

I hope to watch a horror movie tonight feeling wiped out and tomorrow’s a busy day. Happy Father’s Day here in the US.

We're watching "All Creatures Great and Small," the 1978 production on BritBox.

Might watch District 9 tonight, that's another movie that I have watched quite a few times along with World War Z.

Who knows maybe this one will eventually arrive to conclude the hanging question.

There have been lots of good Sci Fi movies ( probably 1000's) but how many stick with you? Most of them one watch is enough or are completely forgettable.
I have several Terabytes of Hard Drives just filled with Sci Fi movies and series, horror too but if I were to approach it logically I would wipe 99% of it.

I’ve been waiting myself. District 9 was excellent. Sci-fi and horror are similar in that so many are made so few are good. I think life was one I can watch numerous times

Its been raining here so I watched the Hulu series Catch 22. Since I liked both the book and the 70`s move I had High hopes. But alas the book is better, as always. in comparison to the film they had turned down the absurdity and confusion and made more of a war move. The scenes where The main character Yossarian are in the bomber over a target working the bomb sight were repeated 2 or 3 times in each episode, witch was a bit tiring. The Milo character was portrayed as in the book, except he didn`t do any mistakes like the one where he tried to sell chocolate cotton in the book. The character, major Major Major Major where also much funnier portrayed both in the book and movie. Some scenes from both the book and the movie left out and new ones added without it improving the story.
Still a good watch, but I guess the times are different, can`t have as much absurdity today as when the book was written or the movie was made

Been binging the Alien, and Predator movie franchises; currently wondering why a member of the Yakuza would wear a Hamilton Ventura in Predators (2010). Grand Seiko or seppuku! 😜
