Broke in the new grill table and made some steaks on the Egg. Seared over high direct heat and then moved to cast iron with some garlic butter.

Whatever the chef decides is on the menu 🤣 16 Panama Canal cruise and get spoiled pointing and saying "I'll take one of these and one of those, also while you're at it, this sounds great as well."

An ode of sorts to the first post in this thread.
Tried my hand at some smoked wings on the grill for the first time ever.
Did a glazed lemon pepper and a standard buffalo.
Indirect at 400 for about 40 min and then finished them off over some flame.
It was just a trial run, but they came out great! Now to make bunches more…

Oh and fun fact the buns of the painted burger on my grill plate are (or were at the time) my 7 month old daughters butt cheeks haha.

Well not exactly today. This is what I ate day before yesterday.
It’s what is made for Maundy Thursday exclusively, in Christian communities in Kerala. It’s a bread made from rice and pulses with a sweet dip made of jaggery and coconut milk.

Then there is this
This is mandatory to be made on the Wednesday before Maundy Thursday. Though it is not exclusively made on the day and is a popular snack in our parts. Made from coconut and jaggery filling inside a rice powder outter which is steamed cooked.
Wonder if there are such culinary specialties for the Holy Week in other parts of the world?
