Hit a small BBQ place last week - smoker outside was a good sign...

Chicken strips - too much breading for my preference, but they still tasted great:

Brisket sandwich was perfection:

Once again we wanted burgers but were out of buns, so made some:

Also made some milk bread:

Salmon en Croute with Watercress & hollandaise.

Funny, we also had fish on croute... Different fish, sea bass, different croute... Salt, served with purée with mint leaves

What is typical German,
for lunch like a prince:

in the evening like a beggar..

of course with a beer...
and look how the Düsseldorf beer is converted to the Cologne beer..

And as said, our main meal is lunch and on Sunday I prepare it.
So see here my repertoire as a cook, a salad before, a dessert after and a little glas of Burgundy..
(no grill, no fries, no hamburger...)

And I allways have a 10l box with French red wine, but in daytime only a nap... its medicine for better digestion...

And today, its not Sunday, so no steak, roast pork, fish or seafood, only saussages pan fried, fair shared, two for me, one for her, served with some red cabbage and potatoes. We are a retired couple, no family to nurrish.
You see, I like to be the chef in the kitchen. Konrad

We are similar Franz, and by coincidence we had exactly the same meal (sausages, although 2 each) with steamed vegetables.
No fast food/take away can beat the taste/flavour and health benefits of fresh food.
