I am referring to the powerful laxatives.

There are people that swing that way? Who knew?
Not me - Yuk!

Too funny - I also received an Anova for a Christmas gift. I stiil have yet to take it for a test drive.
However did your tenderloin eat near as good as it looks? I also like the looks of your green beans and ?
My family always made a green bean and small red potato salad w/ fresh garlic and basaltic vinaigrette.

Tasted fantastic - the sous vide really makes for juicy food.

The green beans are with some potatoes - I topped it with homemade pesto (pine nuts, fresh basil, garlic, olive oil, salt and and pepper that I combine in a mortal and pestle).

Swell, just what I needed to see; a delicious looking piece of perfectly cooked tender, melt in your mouth beef.

I am prepping for a colonoscopy tomorrow. If you've never had this particular adult pleasure you are fortunate. It involves a clear liquid diet for around 36 hours in my case. Yummy!

Swell, just what I needed...someone talking about their colonoscopy in a food thread...

Well to get this thread back on track...

Made soup Sunday night, but that process started early Saturday morning, making a batch of beef stock - that took 8 hours...here it is just after straining:

And another container of it - made 50 cups in total:

Good time of year to make it because the garage is one big fridge, so we can do the initial cooling there before actually putting it in the fridge. Here it is after getting cold overnight:

Skim the fat:

Also Sunday we made chicken stock - the house smelled great all weekend:

Onto the soup...start working on the onions:

Getting there:

Now add stock and some other things, and simmer for a while:

Crouton and Gruyere applied:

In the oven:

Looks good!

And a 2013 Cab Sav from Chile...all good...

Have some leftover soup for lunch! 馃憤

Cheers, Al

Made this last night but these pics are from a previous time I made it - angel hair pasta with garlic and oil. Sweating the garlic in olive oil with some red chili flakes...

Then add the cooked fresh pasta, some grated parmesan, and some fresh parsley. Very tasty and simple/quick to make:

I'd take this ^^ anytime over one crunchy peanut butter & sweet onions sandwich! 馃榿

I would be down with that, but I don't think my wife would be. She hates olives and hairy fish...馃榾

Long ago, before "Mr. Gout" came callin', I loved the added flavor of anchovies. Now it's not worth the pain 馃檨
