Someone with strong mechanical sympathies knows about letting the oil circulate for about 30 seconds before moving off.

I've had my Audi A5 for the last nine years and still love it. It's a 3 litre twin turbo Quattro and goes as well as you'd expect, returning over 40mpg and a lot more if driven with care which is not easy! Unfortunately last Friday, while l was in the Southampton Blood Donor Unit where I was donating platelets it was hit in the rear by a Blood Unit lorry. It is now sitting on my driveway waiting for the NHS to sort out the repairs! The MX5 in the background is my wife's car (and mine for some top down fun), 2008 was an expensive year!

My daily driver

I've got an Acura something or other that mostly my daughter takes and doesn't bring back; and a bunch of motorcycles for the fun stuff. Believe it or not, I get about 22mi/gal on the highway with the truck, it runs clean despite being a diesel, and is very comfortable, and of course you can't beat the utility of it. It makes me happy every day I climb aboard.

I'm trying to convince the Owner it matches my cars color and I should be allowed to borrow it. He successfully argued I can't drive 2 cars at once, so my matching point is invalid.

Ok how did I just find this thread...I'll play.

My favorite is the 2013 F01 750 x drive. Feels more solid than anything I ever drove. Pretty fast too. Twin turbocharged V8. Pay up at the pump though. I have a love-hate relationship with this car. It also is completely unnecessary in our house. (Like...three different Speedmasters)

There's 2015 Acura TLX , daily driver, lots of fun with SH AWD and really good on gas for a V6. Took this pic when I got her.

Lastly is the 2016 Tahoe LTZ. With towing for camping and great for road trips. My wife uses this as her daily driver. It's darn big but drives well for an SUV. I think the 5.3 L engine is a bit underpowered in this car. Replaced our old chevy with 250k miles on the clock.

We're still enjoying the "large-barge." The last year for the big Fleetwood was 1996 and not too many were produced. "Almost, but not quite nearly" vintage, it's so comfy, especially on the long road trips from west central Texas to Nashville, Tennessee where the granddaughters live. The LT1 5.7 V8 gets 24-26 mpg out on the interstate. Acceleration is surprisingly nippy when one hammers it. Not bad at all, given the car's weight.

The last full frame RWD GM made. That and the Buick Roadmaster. Great highway cruiser.

Funny you should mention that. Our previous car which saw us through traveling from Texas to Tennessee for both son's college years to the tune of 268,000 trouble-free miles. Same 5.7 LT1, a smidgen shorter wheel base, a little less weight, and 26.5-28.5 mpg on interstate road trips. The Cadillac doesn't have such "tall" gears in the rear end, due to a trailer tow package, which likely lowers gas mileage, but makes for even better acceleration performance.

Not popular, or never big sellers, the 1994 to 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS, along with the Buick Roadmaster and Cadillac Fleetwood which shared the same engine and drive train as that Impala SS, were one of the best kept great driving secrets of the era.

Just picked up this little beauty. 294kw or almost 400horses, and comes with a fantastic sound track. Those with a good imagination will be able to detect that I am wearing a 145.022 69 with a greying bezel (to match the car).

My daily, little 1.3l turbo tuned...

My project car, Focus RS 2.3l turbo which is currently dismantled getting the motor built out with forged internals, head studs, etc... won't be back on the road most likely until next spring as I wait to see what the market comes out with for bigger turbos and such.

Also have a odyssey, and a few other family cars lol.

Congrats, I recently bit the bullet on the exact same car!
