What Did You Do to Your Watch Today?

I washed it.

I did not think it was particularly grimy but I had not cleaned the rubber portion in a year since I got it. The difference is amazing how dark black and clean the band is. Sorry, no before pics.

edit: also swapped the steel bracelet for rubber strap.

Did you use any specific product to clean your rubber strap ?

My toothbrush and dove soap.

Swapped back to the strap from oem bracelet.

Took it for a service. Found out I also need some repair done. Looked at my bank account. Cried.

Rotated my way through 3 favorites...my Constellation, my Rolex 1018, and my 1013. And I feel very fortunate to have all three. Ate dinner tonight at a very good restaurant. Later, picking up a prescription at a pharmacy, I saw a couple of homeless people camping out on the sidewalk. I took the time to say hello to them and ask them how there were. They seem shocked that someone from outside their misery would do that. But after a minute or so, they seemed comfortable making eye contact with me. There was a Polo Loco nearby and I gave them some cash for a good dinner tonight and some breakfast in the morning. It was pleasant to embrace them with simple human acknowledgment...and they appreciated it as well. As we look at our wrists, let us realize how blessed we are, and let's not ignore nor forget those who are not.

I stuck my watches in a new watch box as the old one was too small 😉
