This is the daily driver these days. Good thing I don't have much of a commute. I think I put 1500 miles on it last year. Note: stock photo since I can't seem to get a decent one.

Yes, that's the 269hp V6. It's quite the Q-ship. 馃榾

I've surprised more than a few drivers with my Forester's tail lights. If I get an Outback next, it'll be the six.

A nice sunny day driving the San Bernardino Pass in Switzerland on my way to Lake Maggiore. It is a superb drive mixing steep switchbacks and sweeping bends with a good road surface plus superb scenery. You can have even more fun annoying Porsche drivers by sticking with them (and passing them in some instances ) in your family BMW diesel estate.I am not picking on Porsche it was just that I met a group of them on the mountain that day and had fun with them

My other bimmer baby, the e34 wagon, she who can carry an entire crated kitchen cabinetry on her roof rack!
Last month, after nearly 270k miles, the engine lost compression in cylinder #2. You think I'd give up on my baby? Hell no!
Month later, donor engine at 149k, my sideyard as the garage/operating room, and she's back, the 'new' engine purring like a kitten. 馃グ馃グ馃グ

Mine was sold new to a brain surgeon in San Diego. USA in 1965 and I bought it from him a number of years ago and brought it to the UK, it can be a bit of a problem when anything goes wrong as it is over engineered, but still drives very well for its age. It was the 23rd one built.
I think we need more pictures

We've done that in the Morgan a few times. Lovely driving in the Engadin and surrounding areas.
