Here's a pic of the Giuliano Mazzuoli 7470PGC-510FABL . What would be the right sort of money to get the Omega for (ballpark)?

This is a very unusual watch, it looks very high. I'd be worried about knocking it on everything !.
If you're looking to add to your collection with an Omega, have you thought of a De Ville ?.

Further to my last post about the 18k Constellation with recessed crown on a Milanese bracelet, I have decided not to try to buy and save the cash to see whats going on with the global economy. I spoke to the owner (really decent guy) in the States who's father was an avid watch collector. It is IMO cheap, is in what appears to be perfect condition and has a 7.25" Strap, history and original box.
Heres the details: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110750985415&category=31387&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
I'm not sure when you'll get another chance at one of these.

This is the watch

As nice as it is, I'd still take a mirror dial + brick bracelet over that any day, given the money involved, the Milanese bracelet doesn't have nearly the impact.

It's going cheap now, but that doesn't mean it will be cheap when the listing is over. 😉

It would have been nice to have as part of a collection. I'm kinda stuck with the dilemma of "Do I buy the biggest heaviest gold watch I can for the money" or do I buy something with less precious metal, possibly steel that is collectable, I have never worked out which is the best route.
This little man working the pumps in my head "says go for the gold my boy!"

err that was a typo... *get not got lol. There are only 20 of the damned things in the world and half have probably been melted, I've never even seen one!

I'm saving up for one of these next, I like the idea of having a 1680 in steel and a 1680 in gold:

I was going to have a crack at John Waynes Rolex King Midas which is currently up for sale with Heritage Auctions. Only problem the price is now $21,000 or was this morning when I thought I'd bid!

I have a chance of getting another King Midas (left hander) 200gms for about $10,000 but doesn't have the super fancy box.... would have to offload a Patek first though!

I put a pic of my Calatrava on my wrist (my very first on the wrist shot ever) on the Other Brands section. I have been told that the La Magique will be back with my father this weekend and then fingers crossed some pics will be uploaded here after long last.

.Would these watches be worth more because of the jewellers connection ?

Probably not. But it's a good sign that the dial is original. Tiffany and Cartier are exceptions to that rule as fake logos have been added to dials for ages. I wouldn't pay extra for a Tiffany or Cartier dialled watch unless it was documented through those companies.

Hope this helps,

I honestly can't understand why there is such a premium on things like 16610 Tiffany dial subs. To me its vandalism, but people keep paying thousands over the mark for them.

Thanks gatorcpa. I know these watches are well over priced. I would love a rolex sub-mariner but this one i'd say is almost double the price !.
