Yep! Should IMO always be at the very end, preferably with a "Price:" in bold lettering as well.
I like the price right in the thread title. I like the template idea mentioned as well.

‘Tell me about my watch’/‘Whats it worth’ <insert a single shitty picture here>

‘Lets get this sold’

‘Price reduced: …’ (any interested parties will notice a reduction…advertising it like this just looks desperate and exactly the kind of thing that attracts tyre kickers and lowballers )…or any variation on this theme ‘fire sale’, ‘price slashed’ etc.

‘Rare <insert watch that is not rare here>’

‘Investors’

Sales listings with 3 lines, and 3 crap pictures(or less…some even do 1).

Lazy people who couldn’t give enough shits to even attempt to bother to try to take decent pictures of what they are selling (its really easy…just go outside and if the sun shines make sure its behind or overhead, or use a window ledge…hold your phone far enough away that it can focus, tap to focus where you want to focus - very important- press the shutter…voila…)

People who post watch auctions before they end, instead of after. It has happened that a watch of interest has been highlighted this way…thanks buddy, for now ensuring hundreds of others also bid on my auction..

in short: the forum itself great…its just some people that aint…

I don’t understand the hang up on WTB. I feel like it’s such a shot in the dark. Maybe I’m wrong.

@dsio does this every day in his Ebay recommendations threads. I've had to suck it up a couple of times myself, but I'm not complaining.

The vast majority of the stuff I post is more entry level, its almost never high end rare stuff that most collectors would fight over and mostly Geneves, Seamasters, Cal 101x and Cal 102x models that are a good way into a first Omega but there may be some exceptions. I try to avoid anything I know there will be a feeding frenzy over in general.

That and you are posting Ebay lisitings. It in not like they are going to fly under the radar. Prices on Ebay always jump at the end of the auction, I doubt your posts have much impact on final price. Maybe a watch might go for a bit more, but the service you provide is huge and the prices are low regardless.

To be honest, complaints about people posting Ebay lisitings is one of my pet peeves. I don't honestly think it is a big issue. Ebay is enormous and has good search options. Things very rarely fly under the radar there.

He performs a great service in the category of watches he posts imho. There are not vast online datesets (or books) where the lazy noob can learn for these, and so his insights are always a tickmark for the folks looking at these watches…

Like I said mate, no complaints from me. And if info about any public auction leaks out to, er, the public, frankly I don't have a lot of time for whingeing about that either.

When people ask a question and you take time to give an informed reply and then they don't have the courtesy to acknowledge said reply. Just a 'like' is all that is required.

I think an actual “Thank you” is in order. Please and thank you should be the norm. Good manners go a long way.

To the other topic, the etiquette on what to post or not for eBay recommendations is still a gray area for me. I posted a link once and drew attention to an auction someone was watching. Not eBay. The other secret site. This watch business is very secretive with auctions and watchmakers held close.
