What’s happening on March 26th then?

Interesting video, especially between 1:14 and 1:19. Unibody case. Does this mean that the movement could be replaced if defective at some point in the future by pulling the crown and popping the crystal? Is that molded-in lug what stops the movement from rotating in the case?
It looks it is made the same way as a Swatch Irony. And they are known to be "serviceable" (by pulling the crown and popping the bezel and crystal, as you said).
It is also a version of the G10.212 AJ/AP caliber, expect the date is missing (or hidden)

In fact, seeing all the hype and publicity would make me want to limit stock even if I had originally planned on a massive launch and widespread distribution. My strategy moving forward would be to have a small in-select-store restock and open up online availability (again with small supply). Make a big announcement that the MoonSwatches are back and accessible to everyone that wants one as long as supplies last, get a bunch of news coverage, have them sell out in minutes, then retire the majority of the collection citing production difficulties/costs/whatever and unanticipated demand. I'd allow maybe one or two products to continue (Moon and Earth, perhaps) and discontinue the rest to maintain exclusivity. But that’s just me.

That would be the way to continue keeping them in the spotlight. The hype appears to have died down a bit, at least according to Google Trends (I added Rolex as sort of a stable, generic, watch reference - they got a kick in searches as well with the Moonswatch launch).

Exactly — underscore MoonSwatches as desirable now and then, later this year, Omega drops a ridiculous watch that gets some news coverage and helps cement the brand as true luxury in the public mind (yet still fun and approachable because of this collab). But that’s not gonna happen.

Strangely, when talked to my OB around first of year wondering about first Tuesday drops, they said “wait until this summer”

no more or less than that of course, and what do they know (some times), but I thought it was interesting timing to suggest

Prices on StockX have mellowed a little in the past several days, but the platform continues for several days to feature the MoonSwatch as the banner product (whatever “it” product of the moment in the hype reselling world is up there)

While prices have mellowed a little on some models, they’re still trading healthily at these premiums (between 50-100 / day for all 11 models)

Photos show most recent sale price (which bobbles up and down with each sale)

If you check the Swatch web site you’ll see the entire MoonSwatch range ready for on-line purchase, except the link to the basket isn’t live yet.

Satisfaction guaranteed, secure online payment, easy return, free delivery.

It looks like they’re almost ready to rock ‘n roll . . .

It's been that way since launch day, with the option to add to cart grayed out.

Why do you have a problem with someone making a comment that you may not agree with? It's my personal observation, this is a comment board after all. Most businesses make boneheaded decisions at one time or another, Swatch cocked this one up. If you feel otherwise, good for you.
That’s the issue I have here, anyone who thinks (and imo rightly so), this release is a negative for Omega, gets shut down 🙁

They say lighten up however is the pro plastic that seem to be over sensitive.

Last I checked, none of the posts criticizing the watch have been removed. You are still posting your thoughts, so claiming to be shut down is a little excessive...

I see people disagreeing certainly, but not much more than that.

Hey, several years ago I thought anyone who paid more than $5k for a Submariner was insane and Bitcoin sounded like something children played with….I have been proven wrong before.

I'm concerned that this thread seems to be slowing down ... it may not reach 100 pages without some additional drama.

You sound an awful lot like the same people who think that getting criticized is the same thing as being silenced or rather, 'censored'.

Heh, someone should make “pro plastic” t-shirts.

More seriously, I think there have been some surprisingly productive and educational exchanges here. I’m sorry you’ve had a different experience.

More that 95% of the “anti-plastic” team just exclaim their visceral emotional state absent any argument or data, then feel “shut” down in the face of requests for explanation or contrary data.

Perhaps if one buys 3 precious plastic and 4 ladies Swatches, they can be on the wait list for a MoonSwatch- that seems to work for the industry😗.
LOL

I’ve had critical posts re this Moonswatch deleted yes.
I’m also talking members politeness to each re difference of opinion.
You can disagree all day long I’ve fine I even encourage healthy debate but the attitude by certain members here (including the forum
owner) has me surprised and disappointed.

I don’t think pro plastics are flat out wrong, they do make valid points.
However I certainly think the swatch group did sacrifice Omega for the good of the group. I think the buzz will be over in very small time frame but the downside to the Speedmasters appeal will be long lived.

It has for me as modern speedmaster collector and I see around YouTube etc other share a similar feeling.
