馃憤 Congratulations for making it to retirement. 50 years working for the man. My brain fried after a mere 15.

Buying watches? Oh OK, I might try that.

Clever boy, we're off to France in a few weeks time. Spending time in Paris and cruising the Seinne, Dordogene, Gironde and Garrone rivers for a month.

House hubby for a while, travel, buy watches, travel.................

Now that's a plan, as long as the OF members don't mind us sleeping on their sofa 馃榿

Yep, good old Williamstown, I'll still go there for the food and catch-ups.

Leave here August 31st and will be in Paris for four or five days, break out the Mo猫t.

Thanks for all of the good wishes and sage advice folks. I'm sure I'll be able to spend more time on eBay and 惟 Forums now.
Canberra is known as the Paris of the ACT.

Congratulations Jim - as everyone else has said.

I think your wife is trying to tell you that you need to drink more (beer, Champagne, wine and Scotch) that is a fair hamper she put together. 馃憤

If you end up in Yorkshire England pop round for a cup of tea and a bite to eat, Paris isn't far from the UK compared to OZ.

Your always welcome on my sofa and I have a spare room for Annie!

I've been retired 9 years and it is true, you can be just as busy!
But now, you can choose the what, when and where.

Just watch the drinking, when I moved my happy hour from a 5pm to a 11am start, I was having a few issues with my Queen.

Amusez-vous 脿 Paris , mon ami et donner Yann mes salutations!

May I recommend the Moet Grand Vintage 2006?

Congrats! Now, don't get too drunk... extreme inebriation may affect late-night and/or daytime eBay/non-惟F watch purchases 馃槈

Terrific and I'm sure well deserved. Just think of how much time you'll have to search for more watches ::psy::

After 28 years in the military and 22 years working for a Defence contractor, I thought it was time to hang up the guns.

Today was my last day of full time work. My occupation will now be described as "retiree".
I had a morning tea with close workmates and then headed home at about 10:30.

I got home and to my surprise my Darlin' had taken the day off and prepared a "Retirement Package" for me.

I added the presentation picture from work and took a pic of the bounty.

I think I can get used to this. 馃榿

Congrats! I have four more years ahead of me to follow very similar steps! Enjoy your true retirement in good health!

BTW, is not all over yet! You now have plenty time on your hands to enjoy watches and minor house work!

Congrats Jim wishing you the best for your new found days of whatever you want to do.

Cleared the front yard for your caravan in sunny Darwin whenever you want. What better to spend a few months of winter each year chasing barramundi

Will have a basket for you also
