·We knew it was about to blow. It had been rumbling for hours. We had safely cordoned off the area, and Jim, Pete and the rest of the crew were safely behind the blast-resistant barriers. And that's when the puppy went leaping into the field chasing after what appeared to be a tennis ball. And right on its heels was an innocent 4-year-old boy, who had his whole life ahead of him. There was no time to wait -- without hesitation I sprinted out from behind the barrier and threw my mustache and eyebrows over the heater. And then she blew...
