Watches you almost forgot you once owned

I've never sold anything in my collection. I don't have many watches, and the only one that I inherited that's worth anything is my stepfather's Bulova Accutron Spaceview that he wore for years from the mid-60s on. (I need to get it serviced and running again.)
I respect folks that are keepers. Makes me wonder what my collection would look like if I had never sold any. I don’t really regret letting any of them go though.

After a short period of time I delete all images of sold pieces and move on 😀

I'm with this guy, too painful to look back with some of the current values...

Although I’ve never sold a watch...I sort of forgot that I owned this Longines. I purchased it new from a Longines AD in 1996.

Pic at the office from about 5 years ago...

So I fetched it from the safe today and I’m currently wearing it...and I’ll probably wear it tomorrow too...

Looks pretty cool. Kind of real 90’s look. Forgive my ignorance but what are the red numbers in the middle around the hands? Probably something really obvious but I can’t figure it out 😕

That's great, and can come in handy if you ever get REALLY lost!

On an hour angle watch, time = degrees. There are 15 degrees in an hour. It's all about celestial navigation. Good explanation on these here: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/t...ehind-the-lindbergh-longines-hour-angle-watch

I have no idea...I’ve never been able to figure it out as per the instruction manual [see below...English instructions are indicated by the blue arrow]. I have a feeling that the red numbers on my chronograph version are just for looks...a true Hour Angle [depicted below on the left hand side of the instructions] has a separate rotating center dial with those numbers...
