Watchco seamaster 300 value

hi,
I have been on the waiting list for a watchco seamaster 300 no date 165.024. It has been a while and I have almost forgotten about it until I received the email yesterday.
They have a head only ready for me next week. I'm waiting on photos. Price is $2700 plus shipping to the states.
Does that seem like a fair price?
I have read many of the threads about the idea of buying watchco vs a watch that omega assembled in their factory. That is a whole seperate battle I need to figure out in my head.
As for price what are your thoughts?
I know I will prob wear it for a while then flip it for something else if I buy it, so I need to consider the resale.

$2700? I'd say FMV is at least $1000 less...

At the end of the day if you like then buy.... keep it long enough and you will get your £££££££ back.... Good luck with your decision...
