Watch collection workflow and software

Hi all,

I'm thinking to use some software to have better controlled all the watches I have with all the related information about (photos, receipts, comments, characteristics, etc).

Are you using any specific software and/or workflow to have your watch collection "in order"?

Thanks

So, no commercial (or free) specific software at all, just "self-developed"

very outdated here- Photos album on the Mac with a notebook of scribbles! Although this thread has empowered me to start something more cutting edge

Thanks. So, I see that there is not (yet) the definitive easy tool that answer the major request of the aficionados (privacy, easiness, etc...)

Watchsee (that I knew) is the most near app, but it's "short" in specifications and parametrization.

Tellico is a free collection manager that I fiddled with and decided it was overkill. The probable downside for you is that it requires KDE Frameworks 5 platform (also free) and that is only available for Linux and some BSD Unix variants,

Many thanks. Here I'm at home a full Mac user. 😀

I believe that modern MacOses are based on BSD, so you might find a port of the software. Can't help more, I've been Linux at home since 1998 and SunOs before that.

I use Excel for numbers, but OneNote (free and also freeform, to a point) for grabbing summary info like the condition of the watch when I received it, a link to the FS ad etc, maybe links to further info on that watch or ideas for bracelets etc. There are other similar packages - like EverNote - but OneNote is available for nothing on every platform so it's just _easy_.

Mac users can take a look at Tap Forms 5, which is pretty good for cataloging pretty much anything.

Little hand written tags with the date of the last service written on them.
