·With retirement I begin an interest in watches one year ago. I have submersed myself into this hobby and come along way. My first three watches turned out to be a mistake so they’re all gone I found that Omaga resonated with me the most so I decided to have only Omegas. I have five watches now and I felt it was important that my collection tell a story and not be redundant. After I had two watches I decided that a nice five watch collection would be some representation of the four model lines that Omega uses today. Next and since The first line was the Seamaster, I wanted a watch to represent the best of omega before the launch of therefore Current lines. So this is what I have procured:
1. New Chronoscope. I wanted a speedmaster but I did not want to be predictable. This is a nod to the 1940s.
2. New 41 mm aqua terra. I hate the OEM bracelet and bought this omega leather strap. This represents the seamaster family
3 1968 Deville custom green dial resto mod. Again I wanted a watch collection that did not have any redundancies.. This covers the Deville family
4 Original 1967 constellation. This of course covers the constellation family and also I wanted one original patinaed watch. I love that it came with a Speidel bracelet. It is the perfect aesthetic. I swear this could’ve been my grandfather’s watch
5. With the four model lines covered, I decided one representative watch from before then. The 30 T2 movement is a must for this role. This is a 1943 subsecond 30 t2 original dial refinished case. Into a brown leather strap. Again avoiding redundancy.
Thanks for reading!
