Ty for the kind words. Again, sorry to hijack your thread. Yes, for me this is the only modern rolex I'll ever wear. Now, still waiting on a bargain on its omega counterpart. I'm patient. 馃榾

Edit: @watchknut, you may wanna change the thread to 'Post your best pawn deals!'. 馃憤

Thinking this may be "the one" dress watch.

I got it before the other vultures had a chance! No military watches or pieces that would have interested you...I would have bought them too馃槤

Ah, I see! My expertise on Zeniths is horrendously low, as this is the only one I have. I did wish it was a bumper, however the 2522C in it is running strong 馃榾 thank you for increasing my knowledge!

@watchknut eagerly waiting for photos!

A Zenith Captain with manual winding?
Captains are usualy automatic: according to Roessler's book the only exception to this rule is caliber 135.

It says "automatic" on the dial, so I am sure he means 2522PC

Congrats, good story. I stop by a pawn shop near my office every week, hoping for that moment.

My late mother worked, for many years, near a Salvation Army store in NY City. She was a regular browser on a weekly basis. Her biggest "Find" was a old suitcase which felt rather not empty. On closer inspection, it was filled with hundreds of old baseball cards. She closed the suitcase and carried it up to the cashier.

"How much"

$5.

"Sold"
