Sorry...I am new here...not trying to be a contrarian...just expressing my opinion. I have collected Omega watches for over 20 years. Vintage 565 watches just don't realize the prices I think they should...but as a 565 buyer I am glad they don't. And like I said to the OP I think the watch is worth $600 with a service and Omega band and clasp.

And I 100% agree with you. When one buys a watch on eBay, it should be for 20% to 40% less than the price from a good watch dealer. This is because that it is almost always going to need some kind of repair work to become equivalent to the dealer's watch, which are generally serviced and warranties.

Also, don't forget about VAT in UK vs. state sales taxes in the US, which are much less and not always enforced.
