Dan Cooke did a skit years ago about (to paraphrase) how in the future when we can teleport across the globe in a fraction of a second, it will still take 6 seconds waiting in line at the DMV.

Just back from the watchmaker- keeping perfect time. Military...possibly??

Gonna have to carefully cut the stitching on the strap to get it off (sewn on)... don’t trust 100yr old leather...but it softened up after a couple days bathing in Obernauf’s.
