Sold my old Bund a month ago or so, missed it so much so I bought a new one that is serving om my wrist today
Poorman’s Smiths W10 ... previous owner’s a retired Colonel USAF Had a Smiths as a matter of fact, batch 69, perfect patina, but stupidly sold it a few years ago
Of the 60 odd issued timepieces that I have.... this is not one of them! Although there is a (tenuous) link! This type was issued to members of Z Sqn. of the Shaky Boats. I am not particularly an SF fan-boy, but I used to have the bigger brother to this watch, the ETA 7750 engined (Omega caliber 1154 maybe?) Chronograph, which bored me after a while and was too big. So when I saw this lovely little quartz jobbie (quartz??!!??....ooooh I know!!) in KK's book I thought... "well why not indeed?"
Even I've got one.... but its not on one of Revo's straps!...its on one of my straps, Revo doesn't make 'em anymore (the Hammie is on an Original strap!)
Nice straps you are turning out @Geo7863 but I have to admit I could not live with that original strap on the Hammie, way to small.
Thanks... you mean small as in too narrow? That strap is the same width as the AF 0210's (I know as I have one )and they fit fine on the bigger lugged WWW's (the Hammie is 17.5mm the WWW's 18mm. Don't forget in the forces 'size doesn't matter' .. its not a crime to have a watch strap that is a tad too narrow.. I use a 12.5mm wide Bonklip with 16mm end pieces on my 18mm Omega '53...works just fine for me.
