I have a lovely 2609.1 that I really like but don’t wear as much as I want to. Mostly because of the strap. I don’t really like leather (I’m a sweaty fella) and a rubber will just not vibe on a 75+ year old watch.
So I’m looking for a bracelet. But not just any bracelet. I’d love to find a period-appropriate Omega bracelet to put on it. Even more, I’d love to find one with fitted endlinks.
As far as I’m aware, there were no OEM bracelets for this ref so finding a match is going to be quite a quest. I’ve tried the hair-pulling Speidel type ones and they just don’t land right emotionally.
Has anyone gone on a similar crusade and have any advice to share?
