The C cases are quite unusual. Do you have a serial number and day month from the extract?

Extract 11/07/72 and delivered to Sweden
Serial 31.501.xxx

What are the tell tell signs?

The original is thinner and much more flimsy (in a good way) and has the vintage Omega emblem at the bottom of the strap on the non-buckle side. I had an all original Mark 1 with the original Isofrane back 10+ years ago. Paid like $4000 for the whole thing. Another stupid sell.

I have a C case example with extract dated August 1972. Serial 32.065.***
The extract also states it originaly came on a Corfam strap which seems very unsuitable for diving I would think!

For that date Isofrane would be the correct strap.
My extract says supplied on a bracelet but I was under the impression that Shark Mesh wasn't offered on the 600 until circa 1975

Well evidently the isofrane wasn’t the only strap option.

What bracelet number does yours state? 1162?

The 1162 was the most commonly used option.

It states the bracelet code on the extract? I would be very interested to see a picture if you can.

No, thought you meant what bracelet is mine on.
On the extract it just states: Bracelet - Stainless Steel

It probably came on an 1162. Your mesh would be a later addition. The original mesh has the code 37 in a circle and are quite rare, I think yours has 59 for the later service bracelet.

Thats interesting. I have an old mesh which I think must have been 22mm at some point with a 1247/237 clasp with a 37 in the circle. It also has an extension which has 1247-1266/01. I guess the extension could also be used on the Ploprof mesh too

The Omega mesh's came in 20,22 and 24mm and the extension fits all 3 types. Its nice to have an original. The 22mm would usually belong to the SM1000. How did it come to you?

It was an ebay purchase some years back but for some reason the first row of the mesh had been cut off so its less than 22mm

Very annoying. I once bought a bracelet with No.6 end links that had been filed down to 18mm, so I know that feeling!
