What are the tell tell signs?
The new strap is stiffer, tapers towards the buckle and has a laser printed number on the lug ends. The one on your Ploprof is also a new one. Here is a picture for comparism Ploprof with vintage Isofrane,
1000m with New Omega strap.

The loopers are different too, as is the clasp.

Mine was a bit of a toff.

Spent the '70's cruising Rivas on the French Riviera.

Apparently it was a tough life....

Looks almost black. Thats why the myth came up that they also made black dials for the Ploprof.

Sadly a pet hate of mine are the one hit wonders who want to value their watches for purchase / sale or verify if a watch is original or not, they email me weekly and who needs the hassle. However, I will say that I love the backstory on that one, but sell it to a collector who will love it, not give ebay a packet is my thoughts, Im sure the watch was written off tax wise years back and was obviously not wanted etc. Ive dealt with many guys who would do that and some had some wonderful watches to pass on and were not in it for top dollar. Still, these stories are something we are working on for ploprof.com as we wanted to add a personal touch to an all info site with real first owner stories, but its been a long time in the coming as Andy and I both have other projects that take our time these days. Ahh well, maybe one day 😀

On holiday in Tobago and my faithful holiday watch has accompanied me, I forget how much I love this watch until it comes out to play, this was my first 'major' vintage Omega piece and I go married in it and its been with me for the last eight years!

I take it that you didn't do the full Morning Suit thing then Tom.

Lol, I had a suit tailored very similar to the Connery one from gold finger (I know, I know) the ploprof was the post ceremony watch, I wore a stardust constellation for the ceremony itself!

Hiya Tom

May I suggest you are possibly more Roger Moore than Daniel Craig 😁

Here we go I'm not sure if the dial is a mark 3 or the do called 2.5?

I'm presuming it's one of the later models so I'm hoping one of you more knowledgeable people on here might help me out.
