Any ORIS collectors here? Bought this little 31 mm Oris datepointer cal 453 about 2 years ago- these first came out in 1938 I'm guessing this is from 40's. maybe 50's based on size and general appearance and the subdial seconds. Looks ok for the cal 453 case and dial- not sure if dial repainted. Some loss of paint on the date numerals abound the periphery. Hands are skeletonized had lume originally I believe. The lume pips are on what I call "ice cream cones" which I have seen on similar era watches including Wittnauer. Movement is marked cal 453, looks a little ragged but keeps good time and datepointer works well. Crown probably not original?? Case looks polished not sure what orig case should look like.
My questions- What is date range for this cal 453 datepointer?
Thoughts on if dial repainted?
Handset correct? Case?
Not much out there on web that I have been able to find so far- curious if others are familiar with this watch
Thanks!!

Hiya to me the dial looks original and aged. My guess would be '50's production? Nice that Oris still produces this model in various forms too 👍

I have a 90s version of that one ... pretty cool to see the evolution
