Vintage Omega Constellation - Identification Help

Good afternoon, and thank you for taking a look at my post-
My father passed away in March and left me a stainless constellation. I believe he purchased this in the late 40s early 50s when he was a commercial to Fisherman.
I have other watches, but I don’t have anything like this one. Just wondering if anybody could help shed some light on the watch itself and what a proper service would be for it.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you very much. I’ve read through this site and has a lot of good information and seems like a good group of enthusiast.
Thank you

Welcome; and my sincerest condolences for your loss.

This watch is much newer than you suspect - it's a quartz model likely from the late 1990s. I think it might be this ref. 1552.30.00:

It's possible it just needs a battery change to get it up and running again
Thank you - yes i think your right on the yr. the watch runs perfect - Thank you for the info - Cheers

Sure thing; I'm glad to have helped and happy to hear that your father's watch runs well - wear it in good health!
