While essentially entirely off topic of both “vintage” and “cars,” and in this instance the watch design preceded the vehicle by several years, I couldn’t resist:

If we are doing period pairings for your old Talon, I would think any Eclipse Evo owner of the time would of happily owned this
Most DSM owners could not have afforded a Tag. The later Evo owners were usually older DSM owners, but I can't say I remember many caring about watches (more of a digital watch crowd). 20+ year DSM owner here -- and a card-carrying member of the Capitol-area DSM Club. I had the iconic Black 1990 TSi like in the Tina Turner ads.

….and what is your period pairing? For both the tsi and your P-car?

One was '90 and the other '87. So the closest is a PVD-coated Seiko Quartz with gold accents. It was my only watch from '83 - '2017. Everything I have picked up since '17 is either new or from the '60s.

No pics but, I do own a 1969 Lincoln Mark III, and a 1969 MK II with the racing dial.

I have nothing to show from my own but this would be my car/watch match

I only have half the pairing here. It could be mint original as I received it,

or, going against the grain, "modified with a white face" to be a little more practical.

but so far there is no 1963 watch to pair with this. Suggestions? Needs to be German made, utilitarian, tough. It might be leading to my next purchase, who knows.

I pair up my panda Ripley Seiko with my JDM Nissan S13. Not quite a perfect match but these are what I'm able to get my hands on!

...and I also pair up my Submariner 1680 with my vintage 500SEL. Since I'm a 70's baby that mainly grew up in the 80's, I feel that this combination suits me well.

Loving the chrome fenders, that’s a really well kept example

Dad….is that you?

I know what that car smells like, like you- grew up at the same time.

Before I gave it to my middle son, I did have a habit of wearing my late 60s 218 Accutron when driving my 68 Caddy.

So, I decided to pair 2 of my cars with 2 of my watches. First one is my '66 tri-power resto-mod GTO paired with my 1968 Bulova Accutron 214 Railroad approved since the dial has a hint of a speedometer of a muscle car. The second one my 1972 Bronco paired with my 60's (exact year unknown) Lucerne chronometers/ telemeter since the outdoorsy rugged look of both.
