This Italian thread of ads has been going for many years. https://orologi.forumfree.it/m/?t=12337835 A lot has been taken down but start with last page and work backwards. Enjoy, gatorcpa
There's a guy on IG who frames up these ads real nice in contemporary black frames. Some of these would look awesome in an office.
I think I’ve posted him on this thread before. But it’s Nick from AdPatina.com he does some great work and has awesome framing ideas!
If you're into your vintage ads then it's worth checking out this book by seasoned collector/deaer, Bruce Shawkey -- https://www.fratellowatches.com/book-review-the-golden-age-of-the-swiss-wristwatch/ Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with the author.
I'll say this — some of these ads were a lot more conceptual and interesting looking. Felt like you're looking into a window of time when you're seeing some of these. Instead, today you're just seeing some guy next to a watch. All about those endorsements.
Cool thread - I have been meaning to professionally frame these - they’re all from the early 80s and from the same advertising campaign spread across many magazines like Nat Geo. Some cool historical figures in them too.
