Omega ad from a 1985 business magazine, featuring Claws and boldness!
This was a long way short of Omega's high water mark for design and advertising.

Since I saw the word "boldness" mentioned...

Ironically, they chose the lower spec, 7 jewel version of the 11DP for this ad
17 jewel version below

Could be because the 10.95 watch only came with the 7 jewel version. Otherwise it's misleading advertising.

There was a time when advertising meant handing out nice little items, such as the 160 pages Speedmaster The Moonwatch book... or even...
A cardboard " Mission Analyzer " to follow the important milestones of the Apollo 8 mission... those were the days !

That UG advert triggered a memory of that little amphitheatre in Paris (Roman ruins?) that we visited on our moto tour a couple of years ago.
Can't remember where it actually was though.

Yes, I have no idea why it just popped into my mind.

It was just after we stopped here.

But I can't find the pics of the amphitheatre.

Here is the other one I got that was framed. Check out the prices for the SS Sub. I guess there were no waiting lists back then.
