Been to see the steel one in the flesh and got a few photos. If you are a collector, I absolutely think it’s a great addition to what you already have. If you are just starting out, and don’t have a Speedmaster yet (much like myself), then I would go for the OG first. It’s really quite beautiful. Shame about the crystal not being the same as what’s on the FOIS, but hey we can’t have everything can we? 😉

Think it will be lovely on the new rubber strap
I'm sure photos with strap changes will pop up soon and we'll see some examples.

I've already seen a photo of it on the 321 flatlink and it looks great (from Rob Yoshimura on the #speedytuesday Facebook group):

It seems to me, that with these changes, Omega wants to go directly competing with Daytona. Till now, Speedy has been seen as the luxury chronograph in the the toolish niche, and Daytona in the fancy niche. Like Omega is saying - we are in both niches now, while Rolex remains only in one of them.
except you can walk in and buy this a daytona you can't

Both the models are great. Got to try them both. I'm good on Speedies ATM.

It looks great to me. I find nothing about it awkward.

I've never been tempted by a Speedy before. But this one will test me.
The rhodium in the subdials is magnificent.

With the way the flat link appears almost black and silver sometimes, that would be pretty insane looking

Either Apollo 11 or the '57.

He said it's the 321.
Strange, what end links did he use as the EW has 19mm lugs and the reverse panda has 20mm.

I've found the answer! He's said "it’s the 19mm Ed white bracelet but attached with 20mm forstner end links".

Makes sense as that was also how people got the 321 flatlink on their FOIS gen 1.

But the A11 with OEM end links would also fit based on this post:
