Pictures are the same, and the bracelet in the remaining picture matches.

What happened to first thread ? Did the OP just create another account here and post it again?

The cynic in me is slowly awakening. Although I truly hope this is the real deal. Unbelievable and great story.

I know the OP and the story is correct. I have adviced him for help here and he is in contact with @kox

It is the same watch as in the other tread, he tried to delete the other thread when people was filling his inbox, therefore he writes

"I really apologize for any inconvenience at the last thread I posted about this watch."

Great find still out there people... stop lurking online, get out of the chair, hop on the car and get to the nearest flea markets 😜😁

Just out of interest why would doing this stop the same/other pms being sent to him now? FYI and for clarity I’m not interested in buying this or either messaged him previously or intend to now...

Cause he wrote: "I am not interested in selling the watch as I find it a very "mysterious" and special watch, and I would really like to keep it and hopefully pass it on some time."

Catch of the month, very nice find! Enjoy that fabulous watch and go for an extract. You can order it on the webpage of Omega.

Yes this is the same watch as the other thread.
I received too many private messages with people who wanted to buy the watch as my username was my real name. So people were able to find me on social media etc. I apologize for making another thread

Incredible find! Congrats!

And today, for the first time in my life, I find myself searching for local flea markets to go to this weekend...

Not sure that would prevent some people from trying their luck ;-)

Wow 😲 - nice pick up. There I was, happy with my $10 Certina find last week, and then you come along with this 😵‍💫

honestly, you should do a search on this. It has been written about dozens and dozens of times. To oversimplify: Omega is not sympathetic to vintage watches, and often replaces items that make the watch valuable with new replacement parts.
Will do - I thought you can be very specific though with what you would like Omega to do in terms of repair or cleaning up the watch. Or do they do whatever they feel like to get the watch running again?

The Omega Sales Katalogue for the FAP shows the Flightmaster in the 1959 version. As far as I know, the early ones and the last version from 1964 were shipped to the FAP with this Back and were engraved in Peru. Seamonster and omega sign only. But have never seen one in the flesh like the OP example. And,yes, omega Excerpt a must ! Kind regards. Achim
Thanks for your input!

Just out of curiosity when I fill the page for an extract from the archives in the case number line do I just put the 2914-2 which is the reference or how am I supposed to do it?

There have been numerous reported occasions where they did not comply with very specific requests. Replacement of hands with flaking lume is a big one.

There are quite a few vintage watches documented here on OF that suffered at the hands of Omega factory service.
