This 2914-4 FAP Flightmaster arrived earlier this week.
Opinions of Military/Railmaster bosses greatly appreciated!!

Direct from Lima, Peru. There are, to my knowledge, three versions of antimagnetic reference 2914. The Omega standard civilian issue was the Railmaster, Omega’s first civilian antimagnetic watch (and descendant of the 1953 RAF antimagnetic 2777-1) introduced 1957 along with the other trilogy members 2913 Seamaster 300 and the 2915 Speedmaster.

There are also 2 military version 2914s. The 2914/135.004 Seamaster issued to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and the 2914 Flightmaster issued to the Fuerza Aerea del Perù, the Peruvian Air Force (FAP). This watch is a 2914-4 Flightmaster with Dauphine hands of a variety seen on other Flightmasters (there is one listed on EBay now in fact) and also on Railmasters 2914 and Seamaster 2913s.

This particular Flightmaster was discussed recently in a thread as it was listed on EBay numerous times before I bought it. Bad photos, translated description and a Lima Address didn’t help it’s marketing. Seller could have been more helpful but it worked out in the end.

I think I made out well but I am completely open to opinions as it is returnable. The dial and hands appear to have original orange caked radium lume and the GC readings are as strong as any Broad Arrow 1950s Omega that I own. The case is full and sharp and the Flightmaster engraving seems to match other examples. Dial is in very nice condition. Crown is flatfoot. Crystal has the logo. The one noticeably issue is the lack of the FAP engraving on the caseback. I’ve seen another like this but it is what it is. I took a few pics and macros as well. No extract yet but there is another 2914-4 Flightmaster posted online with an extract and it’s one digit away so I am hopeful.

Sorry for the crappy pics. Will post a family Omega antimagnetic pic soon.

    Thanks OF!

Saw it, could not afford it, tried to forget it. IMHO, the patina looks legit, and this is hard to fake.

well done . i would give the crystal a light cleaning with polywatch and u will take it to next level.
i wouldn't bother about missing FAP as they came even with blank caseback.
    extract is everything

What a stunning pic that goes so well with the rest of the family! Congrats for taking the risk :D I find the font of the Flightmaster the most desirable of the all trilogy!
