FYI we removed this image as the owner claimed copyright on it and demanded it be taken down.

I'm curious as to what this movement would go in.

Any ideas?

I was looking at that repeater thingie and scratching my head. I know that with UG one should never say never but the dial on that watch makes me think it was never made by them.

I asked for One but there are not available. That’s why I’m a little concerned.

I'd like to see a picture of the caseback on that - there's a voice in my head saying it's not a UG case but at this stage it's only a voice.

I’ve got my fingers crossed it’s original. I’m waiting to get photos of the inside of the case back but Here’s the back of the case.

Serial should be in the 700 region based on the movement but the case feels (much) later

Not sure if this has been posted already. Is this an honest watch?

https://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/114593394892

My concern would be the marker ring.

The ring on this watch has machining between the raised hour markers. This is the style usually seen on gold capped Polerouters.

The rings on solid gold Polerouters usually have machining on the hour markers and are plain in between.

I note that this example is the very watch used for this reference in the gallery on the Polerouter reference website so my concern may well be unfounded as I have no other examples of this reference to compare it with (and it would mean the 104503/1 and 104503/4 references were identical).

However without further research, this would be enough to put me off from buying it.

Thank you! I missed that completely.

Don't let me put you off though. Some of my very best purchases have been slightly risky watches where it wasn't possible to find a direct comparator.

Having looked again, are the hour markers a very slightly different shape without the bevel that we might expect to see on a 204503 or 204605?

To my knowledge, that would make it the first solid gold reference with a ring of this type and actually very interesting.
