What about this electric? Is that a redial or just a late iteration of the fonts? Have to say I sort of like it. Anyone with experience from these sort of movements? I imagine the sweeping second hand must be smooth at 300hz. http://www.ebay.com/itm/272173522108?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Dial looks good to me! Also just realized that the sellers name is also Modest_Proposal and I thought I was smart by figuring it out by his signature.
Thank you. Had it Serviced buy my Master Watchmaker. Not going to redo the dial. If a buyer wants to loose the originality for beauty, good for them.

It was actually LoUs and Georgetown Hoya who originally educated me as a member of this forum on the subject matter
I came across this earlier. It seems like a plain example of a Polerouter. The other ones I've seen here have had more intricate dials. It looks very clean to me for a 1970 watch; maybe too clean. The font and weight on 'Geneve' appears to be different than the other text on the dial. But maybe that's correct; I don't know. The engraving is pretty cool. I don't speak italian but spanish is pretty close. That's a 40 year service award, and it's from Pirelli. Fun history. What do those of you with more experience think of it? I'm not going to buy, just curious to learn.

IMHO not a redial. I have an almost identical one in steel with a reference of 869101/10 and a serial of 2409XXX which places it in the mid sixties not the 70's. Hands look dubious (should be dauphine but I am not really that sure. I suppose it probably sat in a shop for a while ... Pity it's a Kojak (no reference or serial can be seen) apart from that, it is pukka ... Here is my ref 869101/10. Numbers are just visible. If I breathe on it, the few atoms that make them readable are likely to disperse in the ether; easily lost as they are kissed on !
Someone got this one in a short time, everything seemed ok to me except the price that was maybe 1k too high to tickle me, what do you think ? Yes, I want a good deal, but maybe it was ?... http://www.befr.ebay.com/itm/201548620835?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Anyone familiar with this Universal Watch single button chronograph? I'm guessing the crown is not original.
Hi Jonathan, forget about the crown, you can find these easily, they aren't labeled, if the rest of the watch is ok and for a fair price, buy it, don't hesitate !
I believe the model you are showing is in the same date range (mid to late 40's) as the above. Pushers should be the large mushroom type pushers. The ones that you show are much later. Unfortunately, they are impossible to find and not a great design so once they break, you either fix them or replace them. That is a problem in its own right as thread diameter is larger than standard 2.75mm and tube is 4.5mm so there are really very few choices you are left with! I have had some success making these, but process is long and 100% accuracy is paramount ... Here are some failures ! have a look at the following thread ... https://omegaforums.net/threads/universal-chronograph-pusher-variants.10468/
