So, to clarify, this type of crystal (round date window) was never used on any of the Polerouter Subs? I've seen it used a few times already. So, all those are wrong?
The correct trapezoid shaped date window is very hard to find. During a service the watchmaker will take what is available. Round or square shaped. So, not correct AFAIK.

What's nice is that one of sellers says the case isn't original and dial refinished. The other of course guarantees it's all original.

How bad is it ? Not a big deal if you like the watch. Keep it long enough and you could end up with a tidy investment

I like the watch, just not sure I can live with the rusty hands... Could a decent watchmaker replate them?
Should be fixable. It's a nice watch, lugs look sharp and the arrow hands are uncommon enough. So if you like it, you're totally within the meh-margin Beyond absurd. Plus the amount of possible (probable) fakes out there - a redial could so easily be a way to hide that.

Ok it looks about the same but there are some significant differences if you compare both dial: black rim around the beige inner circle, longer minute hand, different fonts and size of the brand, different lugs, and so on...
