I had a look at this one ...

Hodinkee states the following about the Second exec Autavia that appared on Ebay "On the plus side, the Valjoux 72 movement and the 39 mm screw-back case seem fine" , it is not correct. The V72 movement of a true 2 execution, should be signed ed heuer, not heuer leonidas (later V72 movements).

The Autavia, although nice, is a bit of a mix-up of various other watches albeit well put together !

That Autavia carries a serial number in the 59xxx range, which were the earlier Heuer-Leonidas watches. The Ed. Heuer marked watches were in the 54xxx range, possibly some in the 55xxx - but there are original 56xxx Carreras that were marked Heuer-Leonidas.

Mostly just that it's gold plated. Also, not a lot of vintage watches coming out of Morocco. Not clear what the maintenance is like there.

Second hand counter poise bent. Dial fonts look fat. Redial?

Thank you for your eloquent insight into serial number ranges of older Heuer autavias. I was going on a second exec I owned and sold (to buy a ug tri-compax).

I had to get myself one these. Excellent quality but a close inspection reveals inconsistencies when compared to original.

Any chance you could share some inconsistencies? (or PM might work better)

No Lume
Second Ring - Seems to have thicker indices to original
Registers - Some bleed. Thicker numerals not as sharp as original
Logo - As above and embossed / glossy ink is different to original

I conclude that it must be printed using the original plate and very high quality ink. It is a real stunning repro which could easily be mistaken for an original. I spotted this one in milan, clearly a space made with a repro dial ...

Wrong register hands and lots more. Amazingly, it fits the UG caliber 130 movement (although original, far too early a V72 movement variation to be used on a 70's space compax) ...

re: posting I found on Chrono24:
I'm no expert, but the characterization of this sub as "all original" defies my (admittedly limited) experience. The certificate from UG further confuses .

Somehow, I think the English translation and grammar on a UG "certificate" would be better than that letter suggests it is.

It is about as credible as the peace treaty between the White House and the kremlin. I smell a rat ....

On the contrary, Mr. Garcia's "Universal Geneve" email address is published on LinkedIn. Easy enough to look him up and pop him an email requesting confirmation that letter is authentic. I suppose there is no better place to go to than the horse's mouth !

Good
Nice dial
Nice hands
Nice movement

Bad

Wrong crystal
wrong crown
polished case has lost its sharp edges
Wrong bezel

It looks like the case has been modified for new crown (tube replaced). If you are after a daily beater, are happy with the case and you are not really after a collectible sub, then it could be the one for you. It has lots of issues but can be put right. However, parts are hard to come by. For me it would be a no-goer ...
