It would be helpful to the forum if you posted the most relevant pictures here. The link may eventually disappear in a week/month/year's time
And links could be to a spoofed site.

Came across this UG 22705/1 listed. Have been looking for a nice tri-compax (222100….), and this visually comes close for me. Would like thoughts on the condition from this group of experts. Thanks.

looks nice to me. Not sure I've seen it with the fat U crown before but maybe could be correct for a later serial? would require research. Those style bracelets look cool in a pic but in my experience are pretty unusable in terms of fitting the wrist well. Looks expensive, but I'm not really tracking prices, so don't have my finger on the pulse of $$

222101/1 (brushed) and 22705 (starburst) are close cousins, I kinda prefer the textured dial of the 222101, but then I got a 222100 Tri, and the 222101 was too similar, so now I have the 22705 instead....

I prefer the 222101 but this specific example looks nice. Crown is a later replacement.

Understood, for archival purposes makes sense.
Here are more pictures posted by the seller. It’s now reserved.

Very nice condition on this 22250

Looks like the drilled lug holes have been filled--don't think I've ever seen that before. Maybe I'm just seeing really snug spring bars?

Previously sold here

Nice Tri. Those "plugs" are normal, here's a 22250 I used to have. I don't know what it is or why exactly, but it's factory as far as I know. (It's not springbars).

Nothing about this one makes sense to me...

https://www.vinted.com/items/842800...1936-quadrante-stern-freres-full-serviced-18k

...

To me ref 124103 is a uni-compax. @vujen sold one here last year, right?
That serial number would make this a... compur? In what would have to be one of the first appearances of the 285 also. The mention of Stern Freres for this dial is also something I can't understand... Vinted is an odd place, I guess.

It is also on C24. Basically legit but a redial. The reference is made up. 607k without reference is perfectly ok and a 285 is also ok

I did
Of course as Mark said, this watch is not a 124103
It should be a 34.5mm Compur.
This specific example comes with a terrible redial. And of course it's another watch from a private guy that thinks that a 2 second research with ChatGPT will make him a world class vintage watch dealer.

There's a nice looking Tri Compax on ebay. I question whether the crown and hands are original, comparing to pictures in Sala's book, but the rest looks good to my novice eye. Shouldn't all the subdial and chrono seconds hands be blued? The lighting in the pictures makes it hard to tell if that's the case here. Nice clear stamping on the caseback -- it seems most examples have been worn or polished to a high sheen.

Crown is later. Chrono hand is wrong. Other hands seem to be fine. Yes, they usually are blued except for the date.

Later service crown and chrono hand. Case has been modified for male spring bars.

The case is factory, it's late serial compared to examples using female spring bars. Here's another example from similar late serial

These look like factory holes. The watch in question not so much.

looks fine to me apart from register hand set. only the seconds register seems to have the correct one. others are adapted ... probably another UG factory cock up ...

Anyone a clue what is going on here? A 22250 with an 18K gold case. Engravings on the inside look a little wonky... https://www.facebook.com/groups/176382652558333/permalink/2980981812098389/

Very strange. Assuming it's actually gold, hard to imagine why someone would fake a UG case in real gold? The only thing I can think of is the case reference is incorrectly stamped? It seems an odd coincidence that the 22250 is actually a SS spider lugs, and this is maybe the same case shape in gold, so maybe someone got confused?
Have we seen any other examples of gold spider lugs Tri Compax before, if so, what ref are they?
(Side note, what day of the week is MAP supposed to be? what language?)
