would anyone be kind of enough to lend their opinion on this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/301473303911?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
From what I've researched most everything checks out, save for the description claiming it's over 70 years old, as these were apparently made in the 1950s. I'm very new to watch collecting and am still developing the eye for what to look for. The movement looks like it might have some marring, but outside of that, any opinions would be appreciated, thanks!
I thought the dial look too clean. Thanks for the reply! To further my learning, may I ask what the giveaways were, or what you look for to identify a repaint? Thanks again.

That's a good start, noting that the dial looked too clean. I'm always suspicious of a very clean dial, but... a big BUT... you can miss the boat on a pristine example if you're not prepared to recognize it for what it is. Sometimes too clean is just right.
The color of the lume jumped out at me as a re-lume, and the font didn't look right. Some of the hash marks on the minute register looked unusually thick... over-inked, like the too-bulbous dots. Compare it with this Kosher-looking example of a ref 20503 with cal 267 and look closely at all the details - you'll see what I mean:

I wish they had skipped the manufacturer servicing and just gone straight to eBay with it. Very shiny. 馃檨
