I have enjoyed lurking here for a while, I am a novice trying to learn how to authenticate the mystery of UG, my poor attempt at an assessment of this watch led me a piece found on p129 on the newest edition of Sala less the 18k gold case. Crown looks to be incorrect, seconds hand appears to be incorrect, strap obviously not original, dial looked ok but comparing to the Sala example I notice in the right subdial the '200' is higher than the '20' near the bottom and outer sectors are much darker (38 vs 34mm size?). Cal 285 found in other period Compur pieces but I am not near being able to attempt to authenticate the components.
Any generous scholar willing to correct me or add on?

The price seems almost too low for a 1930s chronograph in what looks to be good condition (or restored!). What am I missing? Case metal brining down value? Incorrect band/crown/second hand impacting value a lot?

Just the crown and central chrono hand are wrong on this watch. What brings the value down is the case being chromed.
Otherwise it’s a nice watch with a dial in good condition.
