The crown and probably the crystal are replacements, but the crystal has cracked anyway. Bad relume job on the hands and missing lume on the misaligned chapter ring. Case seems ok and not too terribly overpolished.
But the dial seems legit and with an original crown, a service and a decent relume-job this might be a good project watch - am I right in my assessment?

·Fair assessment, I would say. Although you could argue that much of the charm of these Broad Arrow Polerouters is in the original lume and how that has aged though.

Thank you VERY much for confirming my rookie evaluation (still learning a lot about this wonderful early Polerouters everyday and the Polerouter book is on my list for this year 😎 ).
Maybe this is exactly what I´m looking for - with a toddler in our house I try to stay away from watches with that much radium on the dial but I would never commit the sacrilege of removing beautifully aged radium lume from a Polerouter with Broad Arrow hands and this cool "nitelite" chapter ring. So maybe this is something for me when the price stays at sane levels - I will definitely be bidding on this one. My watchmaker is a specialist that can do a relume job which matches old "pumpkin" or "caramel" aged radium. We´ll see if i get a lucky bid on this early Broad Arrow.

Ouch, I actually WON this auction but the seller changed the shipping countries to domestic U.S. only after the auction ended so I can´t make my payment. Funnily during the auction the shipping to my country was clearly available with ebay international shipping and all currently active auctions from this seller also list my country under their valid shipping countries. He doesn´t response to my messages so I can just wait for the payment deadline to expire, my guess is that my winning bid was not high enough for them so they use all available loopholes to cancel and relist this Polerouter. Please avoid these crooks (National Rarities in Saint Lois, MO) buyers beware!

·Unfortunately I have no one in the US that I could have the watch shipped to. But I guess it was just a case of "was not meant to be" - and if these scumbags try to scam me even before I can make a purchase I would not be surprised if they sent me a potato instead of the watch inside the parcel. This would be a nightmare to authenticate through a third party in the eBay buyer protection process, I guess I´m better off just forgetting about this particular watch. But I am shocked that eBay allows this and there is absolutely nothing you can do as a buyer to fight against these unfair practices. In the negative ratings of this seller on eBay it is evident that this is not the first case and he uses it as a regular "business practice", there is nothing a scammed buyer can do about it apart from leaving a negative rating.
