I understand your view @bgrisso and that’s why I made my apologies, although I don’t think that making an offer or asking if there is still a possibility to discuss sale is against any rules and per se “unethical” (a rather strong word, isn’t it?)…
Just to fully clarify - I obviously tried to contact the seller well before the end of the auction to which I got no answer and repeated my offer after auction has ended, without expecting any response… because losing at auctions (and even not being able to participate in them) is simply part of the game and I am used to it.
But one would be an idiot not to ask about a watch if he is interested.

Sorry @Larry S , if this comment refers to my post, I unfortunately don’t understand what is meant.
Posts… here are subject to endless nibbling on price, yet on other market places things like this can happen

Epic piece, congrats!
Generally speaking I think that seller has to be responsible for his own words, not a potential buyer.

The seller could have also bid on his behalf by someone else / with another account he owns - would not be the first time seeing things like this.

I assume it not unlikely as - generally speaking - it is not so easy to get out of an already "sealed" ebay auction.

Nonetheless it's a very very nice piece you got there!

Already sold but a remarkable watch: https://tbd-watches.com/product/2135/ Both casebacks with serial. Serial ties into comparable dialed compurs (type 3 dial). Universal Watch Geneve on dial. Spectacular!

this Tri has been up and down on ebay a few times, was in auction recently and ended early, not sure what's going on there.

Anyhow, is this a 222100/1 dial in a 22297-3 case?

Pretty amazing case. Never seen it. Exterior markings look OK, Sadly no inside case back pic. Sub seconds hand looks replaced. Rest looks OK

Same seller has this unusual Tri. Normally I would say franken but I feel like I've seen a few of these before. However this one has quite unusual case markings...

That's almost certainly a 222100/1 dial.
