Service crown (NBD IMO) ... possible relume on hands, I believe someone attempted to clean the dial. Never ends well.

The UG font is a bit unusual. No 31 on the date ring. Radial numbers on the seconds subdial. No 3/6/9 on the minutes subdial. Anyhow my gut said it was probably OK, but I didn't research. It seems like others had doubts as no one was bidding on it for a long time, and it didn't go very high.

None of that concerns me. What hurt it was dial condition.

Hello there, universal lover, i was wondering what's the problem with this UG nina on eBay :
https://www.ebay.fr/itm/392625227770?ViewItem=&item=392625227770
If it's a legit one, why is the guy left it for 10000€?
Any ideas?
thanks

I didn't study it in detail but I think it was just a bit tired with a pretty worn bezel and grubby registers on the dial.

Mint examples seem to command huge prices but prices drop off fairly quickly where condition is not perfect. I think that probably applies across the whole vintage watch market.

you're right, the best is better, even more now that it's become rare.
thanks for your answer

It’s a bit chewed up. My bigger issue with these is that nice V72 like this are out there for less....

You might even pay more if you replace the coronet with a fleur de lis.

Has anyone ever seen a dial like this? With this double signature?

The other items listed by this Indian seller don't exactly fill me with confidence.

This was just offered to me at 14K Euros (5K euros discount !!!). I tried to tell the seller it was worth only a little for parts, but he says it's one of the most valuable UG in the world, even more valuable than Film Compax 🤨
