Brilliant, thanks for the help chaps. I have much to learn! Defiantly going to have to pick up a copy of Salas book.

The guy selling it is local to me so I possibly had the chance of getting it much cheaper than the advert on eBay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163728900336?ul_noapp=true). I think I'll pass though as I don't really want to be buying redials.

Round 3s generally not good on the subdials. Wrong minute counter hand and chrono sweep. Weird number inside caseback, what is that? Would be curious to see external caseback. Import code is X'd out on the movement?
Imho, all hands are wrong.

the other additional wrong hands were already pointed out, it was a cumulative team effort 😉

no but i was checking this dial

dial looks original to me. Hour hand is wrong. Minute hand maybe OK, seems a touch short? Chrono reset not right.

You'll have to forgive my scepticism. You've posted about numerous eBay items on this forum and they always have the same seller.

Hour and minute hands should be sword hands and lumed. If that is not a lumed dial, hands are wrong anyway... Dial is fine. Obviously needs servicing.

Here’s one - know the hands have been replaced and possibly the month wheel. Not sure if this one is a redial or not (do I spot some paint on the numerals)? Ref 22541 I think

When Rolex was a young brand, UG reached out to them for a marketing stunt where the watch was to be buried under tons of arctic ice. Which is where that dial belongs. 🤦
