I am curious though. @Dan S you say a rose gold 37mm UNI Compax medico is over priced at 4400 euro. What value would you put on it? It does have condition issues as you point out but still a pretty attractive watch.

I am definitely interested in owning the watch, and I'm thinking about the price I would be willing to pay, although of course I have no idea if the seller would be willing to work with me. But as I mentioned, it has been sitting on that website, which is well-marketed, for at least a year and possibly closer to two years at that price. So all I meant in my initial post was that the price is de facto too high since it has not sold. I am definitely no expert on valuation of UG chronographs.

Honestly, what got me thinking about this is that my wife wants to buy me a really special birthday present, and asked me to give her some ideas. 馃槈

at that price, I'd prefer this watch:

The condition of that watch is absolutely stunning. This will sound like nit-picking, and maybe it's not appropriate to say this about a watch in the sales forum, but I'm not sure that the contrast between the blue hands (including the blue inlay of the hour and minute hands) and brown inlaid markers appeals to me personally. No matter the condition or collectibility, we each have to buy watches that we love.

Nothing like the warm RG and creamy dial glow of a Uni. I own 3 and love em all.

I'm loving my new acquisition, although I need to take more pictures.

Perhaps it went away for vacation with the 16, 17 and 18 minute markers?

no, I heard the minute markers ran off with the "geneve". the L from universal is just totally MIA....

What are your thoughts on this one's dial? My first instinct is that it's a redial, but the text looks fairly good. It's pretty attractive either way.

That's mine. I was asking some others here for opinion before listing, general consensus was probably redial, but no one said definite redial. The 6 bleed into sub dial plus the minute hand past the minute track seems wrong. As stated in listing, probably redial, but overall it's pretty nice looking watch. I got for a project that didn't happen. If anyone here wants it just pm me for direct deal.
