wouldnt be worth it to find a new dial would it? even for something like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-...228461?hash=item4400903b2d:g:w3AAAOSw4A5YuuRfPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Always better for things to be entirely original and I don't think it's easy to find replacement dials anyway.
agreed, and although im some what watch repair capable, I definitely wouldnt attempt the switch over myself. Would never try to do anything on a watch that costs over $200.
Handsome and unusual three hander. Does anyone have any doubts about the dial or hands? The only thing that concerns me is that the hour markers on the chapter ring don't seem to quite line up with the markers on the inner dial. Otherwise the case looks in superb condition and I think the crown is right too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Geneve-332-1950s-34-5mm-Dress-Watch-/253369766350Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
That's the only thing that bothers me too. I would be asking for a full-resolution dial photo, as it's not exactly cheap, and if there's still room for doubt then give it a miss.
i'm not sure but the inner dial seems "maybe" refinished to me, being not as sharp as the outer ring but it could be the picture.
Condition of the paint is worse on the inner. I am wondering if it is a camera angle issue. Agree the apparent misalign and also placement of Lume dots is concerning.
that case is definitely nice, but I do have a question, do folks here sort of ignore watches from certain countries? or less inclined to make a purchase based on where the watch is located? or do folks adhere to the trust the seller
Any thoughts on this 18k rose gold cased UG chronograph? The sub-dial and the second hand looks a bit odd to me, but I'm not too well versed with these.
References: all’s well except the second hand and the fact that the case was drilled to get rid of the #!!!!### female spring bars.
Guys I've pulled the overlap debate into a separate thread so that it does not get buried in this one. Please continue the discussion there https://omegaforums.net/threads/overlap-printing-on-ug-dials.69736/
"All original" as seller claims? And over $900 already? Methinks not with this dial: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-...-Huguenin-Freres-Vintage-Cal-215/162858947782Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network This, OTOH looks promising, though a few things look off, including the 12 o'clock marker seems askew, and hands don't seem a perfect match: https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-UN...8K-SOLID-GOLD-MICROTOR-EXCELLENT/173109741815Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Correct crystal too...
Was anyone following this? Looked good to my eye. https://www.ebay.de/itm/Universal-U...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
