Free advertising, thanks! Makes my prices look very expensive though 😉

In all seriousness, I think you did extremely well there. I was following the auction and on another day might have decided to buy myself a second one at that price.

I don't think there are many examples of this watch. This very watch was covered in Hodinkee's "Bring a Loupe" here https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/bring-a-loupe-april-1-2016

The issues that they raised were all wrong as the crown, hands and case are all perfectly original and genuine and are exactly the same as on my watch.

There was a catalogue/archive photo of this watch somewhere...
Here is another one, same ref., same case, same hands...http://www.ebay.com/itm/311849480228

The hands are all wrong I'm afraid. This one has been covered before on this forum. The photos are terrible, the movement tired etc etc

I would stay well clear.
I have bought this https://www.ebay.com/itm/222788145461
Looks much better in person and came with an extra movement, plus with invoice of full service.

Fu***ng Hodinkee! I saw the eBay ad and wanted that watch, tried to dig out a bit of info, saw the said article and dismissed the watch, because, Hodinkee's vintage specialists must know better than me.
I'll keep it in mind for next time, not to trust blog posters...
Congrats to the guy that got the watch ! It is awesome
